Founded by Yves Bouvier in 2004, the Moscow World Fine Art Fair is the meeting point each May for the world’s leading art dealers and discerning collectors. The exhibition is held yearly in the magnificent Manege next to the Kremlin and Red Square. The aim of the Moscow World Fine Art Fair is to bring together the world’s finest in all art disciplines including unique creations of fine jewellery.
The Manege was built in 1817 to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Russia's victory over Napoleon's army in the country's First Patriotic War, and used initially as a training ground for horses. It has been used as an exhibition center since Soviet times. The riding school and stables were completely destroyed in a fire only a few years ago. It has been rebuilt to its former splendour respecting period detail, using only noble materials and incorporating state-of-the-art technology.
